Jean-Pierre Gabriël (1972) studied the Master Orchestral Conducting at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg with Arjan Tien and in Paris with Roberto Benzi.
He studied Art of Sound at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, with piano and trumpet as instrument.
During his studies he received lessons from Neëme Järvi, Jorma Panula, Michel Tabachnik, Louis Buskens and Gordan Nikoliç.
In 2012 he made his debut with the Dutch Symphony Orchestra.
He had a Tours to China, Spain, Germany, Austria and Hungary with Student Orchestra The Ontzetting.
In 2013 he made his opera debut conducting Verdi's opera Macbeth in a multidisciplinairy production of the Fontys School of Arts.
In May 2014 he participated the International Conducting Masterclass of the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
Recently he conducted the Dutch Marines Concert Band.
Next season he will make his debut at the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra.
Since 2000 he works for the Dutch Classical Radio as Music Producer. He produces recordings with famous orchestras, soloists and ensembles. He works with famous conductors like Neëme Järvi, Carlo Rizzi, Jan-Willem de Vriend and Ed Spanjaard.
He is member of the Committee Music and Musictheater of the Art Council of Amsterdam.
Jean-Pierre Gabriël is conductor of student orchestra “de Ontzetting” in Wageningen since 2002.
